We headed out for a last minute museum trip yesterday.   I figure we won't get there again until at least next year!  Seize the day!

We went to see the new planes movie.  Charlotte ate an insane amount of popcorn and fell asleep....it was 10am.

We hit the local steak restaurant with our friend Olive.  The kids loved it!

First haircut!

Charlotte had her first haircut today...thanks to Jaden. 

The dark side

Since the kids and I were sick this week...sick and sick and sick.  It seems like Moose decided to join us.  Moose took it a little too far.  Come to the dark side, Moose...but not that far!  He wasn't eating,  his stomach was out of control, and he was losing blood.  I'll spare you the details,  but I thought when I took him to the vet that I might not be taking him back home.  Luckily he only required one day of 'hospitalization'!  He's on special food now at home and hopefully he's out of the woods.  He caught some sort of intestional infection.  What a week it has been!

Here it is in a nutshell.  No wedding for me and the kids.  We were stuck in the hotel with a very sick Jaden.  Charlotte was sick too.  It was a total bust!

The day has come...

I can pinpoint the date that the 'terrible twos' have once again started in my house.  That day was yesterday, when my sweet little girl refused to let me help her put on her clothes. ..wanted to only wear my underwear around her waist...needed to sit on the toilet for 30 minutes every time she saw it.  And today's starting out the same way..toilet sitting but accomplishing nothing within a very lengthy amount of time
.refusal to wear proper garments.  Other than that, things are just peachy!

The enddddd.....

3-year- old preschool has ended.  Awwww... My baby is 4 now!  I can't believe it's over, but I'm so happy that he ended up loving it!  His teacher was so awesome(he'll have her again next year!!!).  If I was still teaching, I'd totally steal all of her ideas.  Here are some videos from the teddy bear picnic on his last day of school.

Tastic!  We had so much fun tonight at the frankfort car show!  Although,  when we were leaving Jacob said "that was a bit more work than I thought it would be".  Touché,  honey...touché!

Alone time!

Jaden and I rarely get time alone together.  This week, I took him to the mall for fancy new shoes and a pretzel as big as his head!  We thoroughly enjoyed it!  I also can't get over how easy it is when it's just us!

Birthday boy!

We got to go to Jaden's school today to celebrate his birthday with his class.  It was simply adorable.  He was so happy.  I'm hoping that now he won't be so mad about turning 4!  This was his birthday parade.  After the parade, everyone sat at the table for snack and sang happy birthday to Jaden and then he blew out a little #4 candle.  His very first school birthday celebration....:(

New music and dinner

Well..Jaden hates our old music class.  So we signed up for a new one!  It was so fun!  Dinner was good too!

Buddies

Hunka..hunka...

Huge cat!  It's amazing how much you can miss a kitty.  After Perkins died, Jaden and I grieved hard.  Ughh..man.  It's just so hard to say goodbye when it is so final.  Thankfully, we decided to open up our home and hearts to another cat that didn't have a family.  We went out on Saturday to scope out our options.  We went to a couple of places.  This big guy was the first guy we saw at our second location.  He is huge..I'd say he weighs at least 16 lbs.  He is solid.  The best part of him is his demeanor.   He is super loving and low key.  It seems like he puts up with anything.  We pulled on him...the kids messed with him..poked him..etc.  we have yet to get a rise out of him! We named him Enzo. ..jaden pronounces it 'rocket'.  So we're working on that!
