Ohhhhhhhhiiiiiioooooo

As many of you 3 know, we recently road-tripped it to Ohio for a very special birthday party.  It was a 6 hour drive there and back... I was certainly more than a little nervous about keeping the children entertained for that amount of time.  It wasn't quite as nightmare-ish as I had envisioned.  I am still quite certain we won't road-trip again for a little bit.   Here is a photo-recap!

Jaden's 3rd day of preschool was today!  He didn't want me to leave.  He looks up at me about ready to burst into tears and says "are you going to leave me, mommy?"  Oh, that killed me.  He cried when I left..but not for long..I peeked in after I left the classroom and  he was already working on a project with Mrs. B!  It is sun week this week ..so when I came back he was wearing his sunglasses and they were practicing balancing beanbags on their heads..so cute!  He even hugged Mrs.  B and ms. Rhonda goodbye...I just about had to pick my jaw up off the floor when I witnessed that!  Then he ran in the big field with all of his new friends.   I'm so thankful that he is having fun and opening up!

Ponies

We saw this super legit sign for pony rides...so... we totally checked it out!  Never fear... it was in the front of someone's home... they had a few small ponies tied to trees and one full sized horse as well.  They also had a super legit sign that said Petting (zoo) in back yard.  I thought Jacob would be up for it... as we drove by and I almost peed my pants.  I thought back to this day http://moosemakememories.blogspot.com/2013/06/this-really-happened.html

 

But, alas.. he wouldn't be convinced.  Instead we visited a nearby park, and much to our delight these ladies walked their little pony around the block while we were there!

First day!

Jaden had his first real day of preschool today.  It was so strange to just drop him off and leave.  I felt so nervous for him.  He did ok..until after I left.  Mrs. B said he cried for a while...but he slowly came around.  She also said he had very good manners.   I came to get him, peeked in and he was smiling as she read a story.  Hopefully it just keeps getting easier for him!
