No Really...we are lucky!

Whenever Jaden is throwing a monster fit, Jacob will look at me lovingly with a huge smile on his face and say things like:  "We're so lucky!" or "Can you believe we get to have another one?" ...etc.   I usually respond with a huge smile of my own and say things like "I'm so excited" or "How did we get so lucky?".
But, really- we are so lucky!  After years struggling with infertility we have a very sweet(most of the time) boy, and another unexpected blessing on the way!  It is funny how in those moments of frustration I always think about how this wasn't part of my idealistic view of being a parent.  I thought of cuddling babies, and fun moments with perfect children that didn't throw fits for no apparent reason.  But, this is parenthood- and it's better than I ever imagined.  The love for this precious child outweighs any fit he can throw/ hair he can pull/ item he hits me in the head with.  It's amazing to be a mom!
...And what is the reason he throws all out fits nowadays?????   He doesn't like my glasses!!!!!!!!!

BEST NEWS of the day!!!!???????  Jaden's beloved penguin hat that he lost at Target last week was in the Target's lost and found today!!!!!!  AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's official!!

I thought I had been feeling the baby move for about a week now, but I just got the proof I needed to be sure it's her!!!  Oh, I'm so excited!!!  I felt a little roll on the right side of my belly, put my hand there, and that spot was hard as can be for a few seconds!  Just like she had rolled her whole body right there for a minute and then went back to her normal spot.  That was so cool.  My favorite part of pregnancy is feeling that precious baby move inside of me, and I'm so happy that I feel it already!

Sounds fun, right??  And- sure...it looked a little fun at first.  I needed bloodwork done, and Jaden needed bloodwork done.  So, we went together!  Of course, I made Jacob come too (to handle the fun part!).  Jaden liked the 'table'...he said "Nice table!" about the table people lay on in the room.  He also liked the purple gloves.  He watched me go first and then it was his turn!

Yup....we were TOTALLY nervous.  Jaden didn't seem nervous at all(until the needle went in)!  Jacob held him while they took his blood, I tried to talk to him about chocolate ice cream with sprinkles.  He screamed his head off.  But, this lady was so fast...we loved her.  It only lasted a few seconds- and then we were off to a restaurant for ice cream with sprinkles!!  I think Jacob and I would have given him anything he ever wanted after that.  It was so sad!  But- by the time we ate ice cream, he seemed to have forgotten alllll about it!

Music day!!!

We took care of Lilly on Tuesday.  We were so excited because that meant she got to come to music with us!!  Sarah said she was so excited that she woke up at 2am ready for music class.  Awwww... cutie pie!

Jaden LOVED having her there, and she seemed to have fun too!

Valentines Day ROMANCE!!

Don't be jealous, ladies....but, you know I have to post about our romantic valentines day!!
My precious hubby surprised me with the most special Valentines card that I have ever seen!

I just about peed my pants when I opened it.  I love how it's a Birthday card, that he cleverly re-purposed into a Valentine card!

"I smell poop"

Well... here ya go....  Yesterday the dogs (and/or Jaden) were extra gassy.  All day, I kept thinking I smelled poop.  So...I would smell Jaden (and no poop)...so Jaden would follow me around the house looking for the poop.  I smelled in every room.  And this process happened at least three times yesterday morning.  Turns out, no one actually pooped.  (There is your wonderful back story)
(Here is the real story)  Jacob and I were enjoying a super evening of tv watching (the bachelor and the voice)...while Jaden played toys.  Suddenly Jaden comes over to us (with a wipe in his little hand) and says in his tiny baby voice, "I smell poop".  I just about died laughing.  So we asked "You smell poop?"
Jaden- "YeAH!  See it???"  (I think we both thought he found something)
He led Jacob over to a corner of the room...said "See it?"  and then Jaden started wiping the carpet with his wipe. 
What was the 'poop'- you ask.... it was a crayon!

I'm married to an OLD man!!

My husband is now 30.  So... I asked him how it feels to be married to someone who is still in her 20's, now that he is 30.  He tried to reason with me and explain that even though he is now 30 and I am still 29...we are still only 3 months apart.  As (he explains), we have always been.  I explained to him, again, that I am still in my 20's!  AND he is now in his 30's which is officially old!  And, again- I tried to get him to answer the question of how it feels to be married to someone in her 20's.  Well... this conversation just pretty much went round and round and round...each of us just explaining our points over and over again.  It was pure delight!

On another note...is it strange that this post is about Jacob's birthday, but it's mostly pictures of the most precious little boy ever????  I'm sure Jacob won't mind!
