Well... this morning Jaden woke up as he usually does, and cried for me. As I was getting out of bed, I hear this loud thud coming from Jaden's room. I immediatly knew that this was day I had been dreading for a while. I opened his door... and there he was...walking around on the floor!
WHATTTT!!!??????
So, now I guess we have to figure out how to contain him. Or go to a big boy bed? Shoot. I'm not ready for that!

Unbelievably Thankful!
We have had a whirlwind of a week! We got the SHOCK of our lives last Thursday when I took a pregnancy test before my dentist appt. I was supposed to have xrays that day... so I thought 'well... I just better make sure I'm not pregnant'. I have no idea why I would even think this way. I mean we have been trying to get pregnant for basically our whole marriage! We tried for 2 years for Jaden and did 3 rounds of clomid on our own, then 3 IUI's and then 2 IVF's. And after all of that we were blessed with Jaden! I always hated when people would get pregnant 'on accident'... I never understood that. Yeah, right... what... you just have fun with your hubby and 'oops' you get pregnant?????? No way!!! So, you can imagine my surprise when 2 lines started to appear on this pregnancy test. When we had just signed all of the paperwork to begin IVF, and I had no idea when I ovulated, and we were literally not trying ONE BIT!!!
My SIL/BFF, Sarah was coming over that day. I really could only see this second line in the right light, on the right angle. So I asked her to take a look. She said 'Oh, yeah... I see a second line'....WHATTT!!!???? We were freaking out. I texted Jacob the hpt pic... he said "What are you doing???" I informed him that we thought we saw a second line. Of course, he was convinced we were seeing things! So... I eventually made it to my dentist appt.. didn't have any xrays done... and picked up a stash of pregnancy tests that night. I took one more before Jacob came home. It came up undeniably positive! WOWZAAA!! So, of course, Sarah was the first one I called. And then I quickly planned how to tell Jacob that it was official!!
We are feeling so thankful that God has given us this gift. We are also feeling extremely cautious. I can't believe it's real. I had bloodwork done to confirm the positive result, so I guess it's official. But, we still can't wrap our heads around it! I pray for this tiny baby every free second I have in my day. I pray God will keep the baby strong and healthy. I pray for a happy and healthy 9 months, and I pray for a little miracle to arrive perfectly in July/August!
After I got the confirmation from the doctor, we decided to tell our family.
Everyone was shocked! Jacob's parents thought that it was a really quick IVF... we said... nope.. we did it ourselves! We weren't even trying! Jacob's mom cried. My parents were just as surprised! My dad just smiled. And to top it all off... everyone thinks it will be a girl!
Today, we finish telling our family. We will tell our nieces today. We won't tell anyone that's not immediate family until we are at least 12 weeks along. Right now I'm only 4 weeks along. So we are still in the 'danger zone'. But we are hopeful that everything will be perfect!
Happy, Happy, HAPPY Thanksgiving!!!

So.. since Jaden was playing in a huge pile of beans... we just glued them on a paper to say 'Big Brother'!
When Jacob came home..Jaden handed him the paper. Jacob said "Yeah... maybe"... I said "NOPE... REALLY!!!!" He said "Really?" and we just kept repeating the word 'really'. I showed him the test and he just couldn't get over it!

Awwwww... Truck!
I apologize for the lack of posts lately! We have been crazy busy in this house!!! Believe me, crazy, shockingly busy!!
I took Jaden to get his hair cut last week. The only way we get him to sit still is to stick suckers in each of his hands. It gets a little tricky when the suckers get hair stuck in them... but I figure- a little fiber never hurt! If birds use hair to make nests... don't you think they probably accidentally swallow a little bit of it sometimes!?

Here he is after his haircut... all stripped down since he hates to wear the haircut cape! Notice: he is still munching on the sucker! Don't worry...It's not the one he dropped on the hair covered floor as we left.... I snagged that one out of his little hand right as he went to put it back in his mouth. EWWWWWW!!!!
Jaden is doing some new things nowadays. He loves to sing songs. I will sing a line of a song and he will repeat after me. My favorite is when we sing "I've got the joy down in my heart". When we get to the part that says "and I'm so happy" Jaden says "I so hoppy". Oh, the preciousness of it all! I can't get enough of that little guy! He just warms my heart!! He also is still loving trucks! But instead of calling them 'cocks'(like he has been for a while). He has replaced the 'tr' in truck with the letter 'f'. The first time I heard this, I was SHOCKED! I just can't wait for him to say it in public, or to one of his grandma's!! Ha! The other day he dropped his truck down the stairs and said "Awwwwwww... TRUCK" (except truck didn't sound like truck)!! Funniest thing ever!
Have a Great Thanksgiving!

byebye...
When we leave the house... Jaden always says bye bye to all of his toys. This morning when we left the house he said "Byebye, car... seeyouyaya" (see you later). Unbelievable. When did this little guy get so big?
Here he is getting measured on Papa's wall. My big boy!

Bedtime Bonding
I have always loved putting Jaden to bed. The first 18 months of his life I always nursed him to sleep. I love having that bond with him. It is really unexplainable. I cherished those months, and when it was time to wean... I had a little bit of a hard time. I think weaning was harder on me than it was on Jaden. But, when I weaned- I started walking or rocking him to sleep instead. Now, those are the times I cherish. Now he has these funny little things he does to comfort himself as I rock him to sleep. When he is tired, he will push my hair away from my chest and pull the neck of my shirt down just enough so that he can lay his head on me skin on skin. Oh, I just love that... it's so precious! He also will whisper to himself while I rock him. Today he was whispering about 'juice' and 'pants'... I thought that's random! The other night he was whispering 'Toria...tree' since during the day we watched my niece Victoria climb a tree. I love these new things that he has started doing since weaning. I am grateful that we still get a quiet bonding time before bed. I think I might rock him to sleep for his whole life! Would that be strange???

Surprise Park Shananigans!
We had a fun impromptu trip to the park this morning with Sarah and 2 of her crew!
This is Jacob and Sarah on the swings! Brother/sisterly love!
This is how Sarah and I train for marathons!
Take that, Jacob! We are sooooo ready to run a marathon!
It's always fun to spend a day together in the bright sunshine!
19 months...and a very crowded/overwhelming children's museum!
Jaden turned 19 months old on Thursday! Where has the time gone??? I feel like it was just yesterday when I held him for the first time! I am excited that I am blogging now, and I can do monthly updates on what is going on in Jaden's life. Things change so much so fast.
Jaden, you are 19 months old. You love straws and your toy bus! We give you straws to unwrap in restaurants, and you want to open everyone's for them. You love to play cars and you make the vroom sound when you play with them. You love to talk too. You will pretty much repeat anything we say. Last night I was singing 'I've got joy down in my heart' ... you then kept saying "Joy, joy, joy heart". That was so precious! You love the dogs. You love to give them hugs and chase them. You also have recently had a passion for cleaning. You will take a wipe and wipe down every surface you can find! You also just started making up your own 'songs'. In the car the other day you just kept singing the word "Sunshine" over and over again. I love that! You have a wonderful singing voice! You always request 'kicken and wawuus' (chicken and waffles) for breakfast. I haven't given in to the chicken part of that yet. But, I think those are your two favorite foods! You also love yogurt, which you call 'cilk'. You also call milk 'cilk'. You love apple juice... which you call apple juice!:) You are such a big boy now. I can't believe how fast the last year and a half have gone. I love you soooooo soooo much!!
We went to the children's museum with my SIL Sarah and her sweetheart little girls on Friday. It was crazy crowded... but we still managed to have a magical time! (it's not too hard for us to do when we have each other to joke with!)
The best part of the day was the humungous water table! Yup... he still got soaked even with the poncho on!

Jaden loved these neon light sticks... This is him SCREAMING with delight!
He loved drumming with Isabelle! I think he has a passion for music already!

Isabelle is such a great cousin! She played with Jaden the whole time!
My silly niece, Victoria. She loved this wind tunnel.
The wind tunnel didn't thrill Jaden.. but he let me hold him for a fun photo-op!
Sarah just didn't know what to do with herself... she was soooooo excited!
"Peace, peeps... from the children's museum! Hollah"
We then enjoyed a yummy picnic lunch in the basement. Poor little Lilly-bug... I didn't get many pictures of her:(
It was a ton of fun!

Fertility fun!
We met with our fertility doctor today. He is a wonderful man, so compassionate and caring. We struggled through a couple years of infertility before we got pregnant with Jaden. We did 3 IUI's before beginning the IVF process. We ran into a couple of snags through the IVF process... I became hyperstimulated twice during egg retrievals. But after our second frozen transfer we got pregnant! So, through all of that- the fertility dr and his staff were our new bff's! It was so strange to be back there. It was even weirder talking about doing our first frozen transfer to TTC baby #2. Ohhhhhh... I'm SO excited!
Don't you think this little guy will make a great big brother???
I know he is super excited too! So, the plan is to start the pill in December and have the transfer in January! We will transfer 2 embryos and hope for the best!
We are so ready to have another precious addition to our family!

Busy, Busy....
Jaden and I have been keeping ourselves busy since Jacob is out of town for a few days. We dropped him off at the airport on Wednesday. It was a little sad.... is it weird that I felt like I wanted to cry? It's only a few days! I do worry about him, though. He is on a trip where he is racing cars, and that is why I worry! But, anyway.... after we dropped him off, we went to visit the preschool where I taught before Jaden came along. He had so much fun making a mess there! It was great to see all of my old friends. Literally...old. Just kidding...but they are actually old. So, we played there for a couple of hours and then we headed to the mall to scope out some deals. Carson's just put out a $2.99 rack. It was AWESOME!!!! So I scored a couple of dressy tanks to wear under cardigans this winter. Oh... shopping is so joyous! We then came home to recover from the busy day.. and to rest up for our Thursday! Jaden fell asleep at 6 Wednesday night... so he must have been worn out!
Thursday was a fun day too! I called my sister-in-law (who was about to have her wisdom teeth removed) to see if she wanted me to pick up her little Lilly-bug for a playdate. Of course, Lilly was all over that idea! She is 4, and Jaden loves playing with her! So we headed over to Nanny's house to mess it all up for her! Score! We played there for a while and then we had to head out to pick up my other nieces from school. Suddenly my sweet honeymoon van was filled with 4 children! I was excited to drop all of these kiddos off to their mother.... just so I could see how out of it Sarah was from the wisdom tooth drugs! Much to my dismay, she was totally with it. She didn't even say anything strange or embarassing. I was totally disappointed. But she was laying in bed, which totally freaked Jaden out! He wouldn't even go near her. Ha!
We left Sarah's...and went to meet my mom at a purse/accessory party in town. It was a blast. Jaden loved all of the necklaces and watches! He also enjoyed the little coin purses. We stayed there for a little bit and headed home for dinner.
When we got home, Jaden couldn't get Sarah out of his head. He kept saying "RaRa...teeth...bed" over and over again. Sad.
Jacob comes home tomorrow!

Trick-or-Treat!
You guessed it... It's another halloween post! I love halloween! This year was so fun with Jaden. He loved going from door to door, getting more candy for his bucket! He would actually trade...since he would hold a piece of candy in both hands at all times. Each house he went to, he put a piece of candy in their basket and took a new one from them. It was priceless!
After we trick-or-treated around Jacob's old hood, we went to Nanny and Papa's! They were just tickled pink about us coming by!
Jaden took off his costume so he could run around at full speed... he loves Nanny and Papa's house!
Next, we headed over to Grandma and Grampie's house. My mom was out of town, but luckily Grampie was there to hand out all the yummy-ness! Jaden just dug right in. He was a pro by the time we got there!
