Thrilling

When we woke up on Thursday and everyone was feeling semi-good, we decided to make a quick trip out to see Santa.  Jaden did great!  He told santa what he wanted and he acted so brave!  Charlotte screamed her little head off and flailed around angrily in Santa's lap!  Ahhh.. memories!   I'm just happy we got to do it this year since we've been cycling sickness after sickness around here!

Jaden's class sang a little  song today for Thanksgiving.  How adorable are these cutie pies!

Day 1

Weaning this girl off her paci.  So far, so good.  I'm weaning her off of it during the day only so far.  She can still have it for naps and bedtime.  I'm hoping to see a difference in her smile after she is off of it completely for a while.  Poor little baby...

Last week was all about me week at preschool.  They made a life size version of themselves.  So cute.  Here is Jaden with his life size recreation.  He also got an award for being the best 'me' in the whole world.

Vacuuming

 Indeed, I was vacuuming today... Jaden was sitting at the kitchen table...whence the dogs started barking fiercely at the back door.  They love to bark, so when I asked Jaden what they were barking at- you can imagine my surprise when he stated "the big bad wolf".  Ummmmmm.... whattttt!?  Usually they bark at a floating leaf, a hopping bunny, a lawn maintenance man...etc.  I was intrigued by his answer and went to see for myself.  Sure enough.  We had a big bad wolf in our back yard.  Just a-walking back and forth... pooped right along our fence while staring at us staring at him.  It was an interesting lunch hour!  I frantically called the neighbors... they didn't answer... must be out and about at a senior activity or such...I frantically called Jacob...he didn't answer...assuming he's also doing some sort of senior activity.  So we just observed this large animal in all his glory!

 You can not pay me for doing what I love...(taking care of neighbor cats)(just to clarify).  I was asked to catsit again this weekend... and of course I jumped at the chance.  I mean, what else do I have to do.  So, anyway... it was the perfect opportunity to hide the money they tried to pay me with last time.  BTW...Jaden just told Jacob that Victoria doesn't like her babysitter... Her babysitter is scary.  Jacob seemed shocked and asked who her babysitter is.  Little does he know Sarah is the 'babysitter'.

Halloween Parties!!!

We are busy, busy, busy Halloweeners this year.  Yesterday we had our music class Halloween party.  It was so cute to see all of our little friends dressed up.  Music is always so fun!  Today was the preschool Halloween party... and, of course, it was amazing!  The kids did a little parade with their costumes, then we went into the class for games and stories.  Check it...

Jaden learned about popcorn at school on Thursday.   Mrs. B read a book about popcorn where a little guy had a party and all of his friends brought popcorn.   They had so much popcorn that the house was full!  So, of course, mrs. B made popcorn and covered her popcorn maker with a little house.  This lady is too clever!

Oh... this Mrs. B... she gets me every time.  I love that she does this at the end of class for us parents.  Be still my freakin heart, that Jaden... so adorable!

As many of you 3 know, we recently road-tripped it to Ohio for a very special birthday party.  It was a 6 hour drive there and back... I was certainly more than a little nervous about keeping the children entertained for that amount of time.  It wasn't quite as nightmare-ish as I had envisioned.  I am still quite certain we won't road-trip again for a little bit.   Here is a photo-recap!
