MekChis!

That's Jaden's word for "Merry Christmas"!  He likes to impersonate Santa and say "HO, HO, HO, Mekchis!"   Cutie pie!
We had a super busy, busy Christmas week!  My brother Matt and his wife, Kristy came into town from Kansas.  It was so fun to see them again!  We hadn't seen them in person for about a year, so we were a little worried that Jaden would take a while to warm up to them.  Luckily, he warmed up to them rather quickly.  He even tried to move in on Kristy...he LOVED her!  I think I would consider that his first crush!  He would go sit by her and sit just like her.  He would put his arm around her...look at her and smile.  Ahhh...it was soooo funny!  He also loved Matt.  I think he loved how Matt could talk like Mickey Mouse.  He also loved how Matt would play ball/toys with him.  It was so wonderful to watch them interact.
Another fun tidbit...Kristy is pregnant too.  She is due 3 days before me!  So, she was having to deal with fatigue and a little bit of nausia during their visit.  I was feeling pretty good, overall.  I struggle with nausia at times.  But, luckily I didn't vomit until Thursday night...after they had already gone home!  Ha!
We celebrated Christmas Eve with my family at my parents house.  It was a wild time...(as always!)

I'm 8 weeks in this picture, Matt's baby is 9 weeks!

I loved the look on his face when he saw this shopping cart!!

Dad has a new project to work on!

Thanks, Matt and Kristy for the Mickey Mouse video!!

My grandma sent Jaden a book from Hallmark that you can record your voice on.  So, she is reading this story to him.  It is so special especially since she lives so far away!

Jacob labeled this bag for Sawyer (Matt and Kristy's boy name)

  1. Wild and Crazy times! I am a bit concerned what we're going to get your dad for Christmas next year. It started with an ornament, then a 12" leg lamp, now a 6' leg lamp.... how big do they make these things?!?!
