Well... this morning Jaden woke up as he usually does, and cried for me. As I was getting out of bed, I hear this loud thud coming from Jaden's room. I immediatly knew that this was day I had been dreading for a while. I opened his door... and there he was...walking around on the floor!
WHATTTT!!!??????
So, now I guess we have to figure out how to contain him. Or go to a big boy bed? Shoot. I'm not ready for that!

Unbelievably Thankful!
We have had a whirlwind of a week! We got the SHOCK of our lives last Thursday when I took a pregnancy test before my dentist appt. I was supposed to have xrays that day... so I thought 'well... I just better make sure I'm not pregnant'. I have no idea why I would even think this way. I mean we have been trying to get pregnant for basically our whole marriage! We tried for 2 years for Jaden and did 3 rounds of clomid on our own, then 3 IUI's and then 2 IVF's. And after all of that we were blessed with Jaden! I always hated when people would get pregnant 'on accident'... I never understood that. Yeah, right... what... you just have fun with your hubby and 'oops' you get pregnant?????? No way!!! So, you can imagine my surprise when 2 lines started to appear on this pregnancy test. When we had just signed all of the paperwork to begin IVF, and I had no idea when I ovulated, and we were literally not trying ONE BIT!!!
My SIL/BFF, Sarah was coming over that day. I really could only see this second line in the right light, on the right angle. So I asked her to take a look. She said 'Oh, yeah... I see a second line'....WHATTT!!!???? We were freaking out. I texted Jacob the hpt pic... he said "What are you doing???" I informed him that we thought we saw a second line. Of course, he was convinced we were seeing things! So... I eventually made it to my dentist appt.. didn't have any xrays done... and picked up a stash of pregnancy tests that night. I took one more before Jacob came home. It came up undeniably positive! WOWZAAA!! So, of course, Sarah was the first one I called. And then I quickly planned how to tell Jacob that it was official!!
We are feeling so thankful that God has given us this gift. We are also feeling extremely cautious. I can't believe it's real. I had bloodwork done to confirm the positive result, so I guess it's official. But, we still can't wrap our heads around it! I pray for this tiny baby every free second I have in my day. I pray God will keep the baby strong and healthy. I pray for a happy and healthy 9 months, and I pray for a little miracle to arrive perfectly in July/August!
After I got the confirmation from the doctor, we decided to tell our family.
Everyone was shocked! Jacob's parents thought that it was a really quick IVF... we said... nope.. we did it ourselves! We weren't even trying! Jacob's mom cried. My parents were just as surprised! My dad just smiled. And to top it all off... everyone thinks it will be a girl!
Today, we finish telling our family. We will tell our nieces today. We won't tell anyone that's not immediate family until we are at least 12 weeks along. Right now I'm only 4 weeks along. So we are still in the 'danger zone'. But we are hopeful that everything will be perfect!
Happy, Happy, HAPPY Thanksgiving!!!

So.. since Jaden was playing in a huge pile of beans... we just glued them on a paper to say 'Big Brother'!
When Jacob came home..Jaden handed him the paper. Jacob said "Yeah... maybe"... I said "NOPE... REALLY!!!!" He said "Really?" and we just kept repeating the word 'really'. I showed him the test and he just couldn't get over it!

Awwwww... Truck!
I apologize for the lack of posts lately! We have been crazy busy in this house!!! Believe me, crazy, shockingly busy!!
I took Jaden to get his hair cut last week. The only way we get him to sit still is to stick suckers in each of his hands. It gets a little tricky when the suckers get hair stuck in them... but I figure- a little fiber never hurt! If birds use hair to make nests... don't you think they probably accidentally swallow a little bit of it sometimes!?

Here he is after his haircut... all stripped down since he hates to wear the haircut cape! Notice: he is still munching on the sucker! Don't worry...It's not the one he dropped on the hair covered floor as we left.... I snagged that one out of his little hand right as he went to put it back in his mouth. EWWWWWW!!!!
Jaden is doing some new things nowadays. He loves to sing songs. I will sing a line of a song and he will repeat after me. My favorite is when we sing "I've got the joy down in my heart". When we get to the part that says "and I'm so happy" Jaden says "I so hoppy". Oh, the preciousness of it all! I can't get enough of that little guy! He just warms my heart!! He also is still loving trucks! But instead of calling them 'cocks'(like he has been for a while). He has replaced the 'tr' in truck with the letter 'f'. The first time I heard this, I was SHOCKED! I just can't wait for him to say it in public, or to one of his grandma's!! Ha! The other day he dropped his truck down the stairs and said "Awwwwwww... TRUCK" (except truck didn't sound like truck)!! Funniest thing ever!
Have a Great Thanksgiving!

byebye...
When we leave the house... Jaden always says bye bye to all of his toys. This morning when we left the house he said "Byebye, car... seeyouyaya" (see you later). Unbelievable. When did this little guy get so big?
Here he is getting measured on Papa's wall. My big boy!

Bedtime Bonding
I have always loved putting Jaden to bed. The first 18 months of his life I always nursed him to sleep. I love having that bond with him. It is really unexplainable. I cherished those months, and when it was time to wean... I had a little bit of a hard time. I think weaning was harder on me than it was on Jaden. But, when I weaned- I started walking or rocking him to sleep instead. Now, those are the times I cherish. Now he has these funny little things he does to comfort himself as I rock him to sleep. When he is tired, he will push my hair away from my chest and pull the neck of my shirt down just enough so that he can lay his head on me skin on skin. Oh, I just love that... it's so precious! He also will whisper to himself while I rock him. Today he was whispering about 'juice' and 'pants'... I thought that's random! The other night he was whispering 'Toria...tree' since during the day we watched my niece Victoria climb a tree. I love these new things that he has started doing since weaning. I am grateful that we still get a quiet bonding time before bed. I think I might rock him to sleep for his whole life! Would that be strange???
