The freakin' unicorns....

Sarah.... incase you are wondering....the unicorns are at my house today!!!!  ALLLLL of them, because it's naptime, my crabby toddler is surprisingly un-crabby (well...at least he was for a couple of hours)(we'll see how he is after naptime), and we sold our house! 
Those unicorns are all over the place up in here!

Deal....or No Deal!?

NO DEAL!!!!  We had our first showing on Wednesday night.  The couple wrote a extremely low offer immediately after looking at our house.  So, of course we countered, and they lowball countered...and we high-ball countered...and they gave us a 'final' low offer.  So we said "No thanks, and good luck!"  Hollah!  Now we wait for the right buyer who will love this house as much as we have.  It hasn't even been on the market for a week, so I guess it will be interesting to see what the future brings. 
All the while... I had 'Games' sung by my FAVE NKOTB.  As Jordan so poignantly says (in his high pitched voice) "We don't need your games"

Random thoughts from an (almost) 2year old

~Yesterday we were ready to leave for church.  I said to Jaden "Come on, let's go"... he says to me as he plays with his cars "I stay home"....well at least he knows what he wants!  He stayed with us in church and as the sermon was ending I asked him if he wanted to go in the hallway to run around.  He quickly said "yes"...he picked up his 'special car bag'...and looked up at Jacob and said "I ready, Daddy".  How funny is this little guy!
~We always ask him to say please.  He will not say the word 'please', but he will sign 'please'.  Last night he kept telling us "Say please".  Of course, he will not say 'please'...but he will tell us to 'say please'!
~Jaden was pretending to be a monkey the other day, so I asked him what a monkey eats....he said "dinnurrr"...Of course!  How silly of me!
~Jaden always talks to the dogs and the cat in a high pitched voice.   He likes to show them things, and he loves to ask Perkins questions.  It's hilarious!
.....here's a random thought from me...I was thinking the other day that living with an almost 2 year old is like living with someone who is extremely bipolar!  Extremely!
.....and....our house is on the market now!  We are officially moving!  Yay...now we just have to get some people to actually look at the house so they will buy it...fast!!!

No Really...we are lucky!

Whenever Jaden is throwing a monster fit, Jacob will look at me lovingly with a huge smile on his face and say things like:  "We're so lucky!" or "Can you believe we get to have another one?" ...etc.   I usually respond with a huge smile of my own and say things like "I'm so excited" or "How did we get so lucky?".
But, really- we are so lucky!  After years struggling with infertility we have a very sweet(most of the time) boy, and another unexpected blessing on the way!  It is funny how in those moments of frustration I always think about how this wasn't part of my idealistic view of being a parent.  I thought of cuddling babies, and fun moments with perfect children that didn't throw fits for no apparent reason.  But, this is parenthood- and it's better than I ever imagined.  The love for this precious child outweighs any fit he can throw/ hair he can pull/ item he hits me in the head with.  It's amazing to be a mom!
...And what is the reason he throws all out fits nowadays?????   He doesn't like my glasses!!!!!!!!!

BEST NEWS of the day!!!!???????  Jaden's beloved penguin hat that he lost at Target last week was in the Target's lost and found today!!!!!!  AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's official!!

I thought I had been feeling the baby move for about a week now, but I just got the proof I needed to be sure it's her!!!  Oh, I'm so excited!!!  I felt a little roll on the right side of my belly, put my hand there, and that spot was hard as can be for a few seconds!  Just like she had rolled her whole body right there for a minute and then went back to her normal spot.  That was so cool.  My favorite part of pregnancy is feeling that precious baby move inside of me, and I'm so happy that I feel it already! 

Big Blue Chair

Sounds fun, right??  And- sure...it looked a little fun at first.  I needed bloodwork done, and Jaden needed bloodwork done.  So, we went together!  Of course, I made Jacob come too (to handle the fun part!).  Jaden liked the 'table'...he said "Nice table!" about the table people lay on in the room.  He also liked the purple gloves.  He watched me go first and then it was his turn!

Yup....we were TOTALLY nervous.  Jaden didn't seem nervous at all(until the needle went in)!  Jacob held him while they took his blood, I tried to talk to him about chocolate ice cream with sprinkles.  He screamed his head off.  But, this lady was so fast...we loved her.  It only lasted a few seconds- and then we were off to a restaurant for ice cream with sprinkles!!  I think Jacob and I would have given him anything he ever wanted after that.  It was so sad!  But- by the time we ate ice cream, he seemed to have forgotten alllll about it!
